What is Face Reality Acne Boot Camp? 

FACE REALITY ACNE BOOTCAMP is a 3-6 month process with your commitment to use the prescribed acne safe products by our acne expert exclusively and commit to change your lifestyle, diet and makeup. We will also deep dive with your supplements and birth control and make sure they are not contributing to acne. 

FACE REALITY ACNE BOOT CAMP has proven to work with a success rate of 95%. Our program is designed to treat all types of acne grades 1-4, meaning, mild to severe inflamed acne, non-inflamed acne, teenage acne, adult or mature acne, acne rosacea, hormonal acne, cystic acne and back acne without the use of prescription. Since everyone's skin is different, we will customized an effective clear plan designed exclusively just for you!

What should I expect at my first Acne Treatment and Consultation?

Our acne expert will diagnose your specific acne type (inflamed, non-inflamed, hormonal, cystic, acne rosacea, teenage acne, adult acne) and identify factors that may be causing your acne. You will receive Acne Consultation Packet with valuable information about ingredients, food, habits and lifestyle choices that aggravate acne as well as a list of acne-safe make-up recommendations. You will be asked to bring all of the products you use to your first appointment so that we can check for pore-clogging ingredients. After a thorough skin analysis, we will perform extractions and do a light treatment peel or hydrating enzyme mask, depending on your skin tolerance to kick-start the clearing process.  We will design a customized home-care routine using products with “acne safe” ingredients and set up a treatment schedule that fits your budget.

How long does it take to get clear skin?

While many clients see an improvement in their skin within the first month, it usually takes about 3-6 months period of time to get at least 90% clear. This is because it takes 30-90 days for existing acne impactions to make their way to the surface to be extracted. Our acne products and protocol will keep the new acne from forming that would surface 90 days from now. Usually, in most cases, the Face Reality Acne Skincare System will have your acne under control  in about 3-6 months depending of what type of acne you have. Please bear in mind that some type of acne takes longer to clear. For some people it might take more than 6 months to get clear depending on the severity of your acne, skin color, skin type, skin sensitivity and environment. Our acne specialist or acne expert would only see you 2X a month or less, and you treat your skin everyday, that being said, 80% for the success of this program is your commitment in doing your homecare and following lifestyle guidelines.

How often should I come in for Acne Treatment?

In order to get clear as fast as possible, we recommend coming in for acne treatment every 2 weeks for at least 12 weeks until your skin condition is stable. or  during the first few months. The purpose of treatment is to accelerate exfoliation, extract acne plugs as they surface, hydrate the skin and assess to your home care routine.

Why do you adjust home care routine every two-four weeks? 

Acne skin has the ability to adapt to products. Our acne specialist will analyze your skin every visit and will strengthen your homecare routine if needed every few weeks to stay ahead of your skin’s ability to adapt and keep pushing your skin to get clear. If you are unable to come in that often for the treatment, we’ll still get you clear, it will just take longer.

Can you get rid of acne scars?

What most people consider acne “scars” are actually red, purple or brown marks left behind by old acne lesions. These are not true acne scars. This is called Post Inflammatory Hyperpigmentation (PIH) and can be treated at our clinic with a series of light or deep chemical peels and the right home-care products to lighten these marks. True acne scars are deeper and may look like an indentation or pitting can also be treated in our clinic using medical grade chemical peels, SkinPen Microneedling, ProCell Therapies Microchanneling and skin resurfacing using Stellar M22 ResurFX laser by LUMENIS.

LIGHT CHEMICAL PEELS is every 2 weeks for 12 weeks total of 6 peels  

We ask that you stop using any prescriptions when you begin our treatment program. If you are currently using Retin-A or any other prescription topical creams, we recommend you stop using it two weeks before your first treatment so that your skin will be less sensitive and your extractions will be more tolerable. Also, we want to be able to accurately test your skin sensitivity for the strength of products we will recommend you start with. We will use the strongest products your skin can tolerate without irritation. As your skin adapts every few weeks, we will increase the frequency of use or the product strength to push your skin to clear faster.  It is important that you follow home-care instructions and contact us if your skin begins to get too dry or sensitive.
